Happy, happy, joy, joy…

I have 2 new additions to my collection…

Horo from the Manga Series
Horo from the TV series 1st season…

The first is by Kotobukiya and the second is by Good Smile Company. I’m extra excited because everywhere I have looked was sold out. One day I stumbled on another distributor that had these in stock… Plamoya.. Might be well worth checking out if you are running into dead ends… The items were well packed and I was very pleased with how they informed me of my order status.

I’ll post some actual photos when I have a bit more time…

Got a little bit bored with the current appearance of my car so I thought I would start coming up with some new ideas for an Itasha… Here is what I have right now…


I know, it looks bland but its still a work in progress… Once I get the result I desire, I’ll just need to find someone who would be willing to complete the masterpiece.

I feel the effects of PVC poisoning

It’s bad…. Not sure what I am gonna do… Probably should take a 2nd job, that is if there are any openings. I say poisoning because of an overseas influence that I have received with regards to collecting these lovelies. My first was Rin, just to cute. Even those I know who are not really anime fans find her cute.

Well, the effects have been steadily seeping in and once again, I found myself making a purchase of another doll of a character. This time Horo from Spice and Wolf. I got lucky with this one. While stumbling around the internet as I worked from home, I came across a website that seemed to have a pretty good rep about them. Based on comments on various forums.

It appears I may have gotten lucky and snagged the last on they had in stock. I was surprised since the release date was in late April of this year. Looking forward to her showing up on my doorstep… I’ll post pictures when she arrives.

Festival Costume Akiyama Mio -Uplark Announcement

Posted on the Uplark blog…. Here is a sneak peek at what their version of Mio may look like. Here she is dressed in her school festival outfit from the day they first performed. This image is of a prototype in the works. No word on the release date yet. From the looks of it, this version of Mio may be joining my collection as well…

Cool service for those receiving items from Japan

Here is a service provided by Tenso.com that allows you to receive merchandise from companies in Japan that do not ship overseas. Tenso allows you to establish a Japanese address to which you have your purchase shipped. From there, they forward the items on to you using the EMS shipping rates.

Sounds cool to me… At the moment I haven’t needed a service like this but I would love to hear from anyone that has used this or a service similar to this…

I must say that I am excited to announce my very first … Recently my mind had been poisoned by another blogger (thanks Zenical) and that poisoning made worse by constantly visiting Hobby Search and Danny Choo sites. So… without further ado… My first figurine is Rin Kokonoe from the series Kodomo no Jikan.

Looks like I have company now on those late nights while watching anime. I invited her to some chips while we watched an episode of Kodomo no Jikan… More to come…

Ok guys, you know who you are… Those of us who are old *cough* enough to remember seeing the original Tron movie in theaters when it debuted (that would be in 1982). Well, it looks like the movie is getting a fresh coat of paint so to speak and brought into the modern age of movie making. Admit it, you either wanted a light cycle, one of the tanks or a paranoid.

Me, I’m partial to the light cycle…

You can make a reservation for this figure at Hobby Search for her December release. Retail price is 6,800 Yen.

I finally got my copy of Fate/Stay Night

After my previous order of Fate/Stay Night got canceled, I had to re-order my DVD set. I was a bit bummed as you may imagine considering it took almost a month of waiting before I found that it would not be available.

Luckily I had patience on my side when I noticed a new release slated for 9/1. So I just started watching it and I have not been disappointed yet. Having only seen the Manga thus-far, I was not sure what to expect. Unlike say Suzuka, the Manga and Anime are pretty much in sync. In the Suzuka Anime, I find myself falling asleep…

Well, off to watch an episode before heading to work…
