It appears that Netflix has added ’s to their list of movies you can rent. It is available now to add to your queue (to be saved when available). More information on First Squad here. (or here) I’m looking forward to seeing this . It looks awesome.

1942-The third year of the world war II.
Enslaved by the nazis, continental Europe lies in ruins. But in the east, in Russia, the red army is putting up a violent resistance to the legions of the third reich.

Desperate fighting for every inch of land goes on along the entire, Five-thousand-miles-long, front line. Both armies suffer severe losses every day. And neither will settle for anything but victory.

A while back I wrote a quick blurb on a girl who landed a record deal using just her voice and 4 iPhones. Well, today I did some searching to see just what became of her and WOW, she sounds great! Kim Yeo Hee of is rising very quickly on my list of favorite artists. I may not under stand the language but the in the singing I think are universal and her voice is something to hear.

Have you heard her before? What do you think? Should she release an English CD as well?

It’s hard to believe that Fall is starting up and the new shows are starting this weekend. What happened to the Summer? I don’t feel relaxed for some reason. Weren’t Summers supposed to be relaxing vacation times? Oh well, better luck next year.

In the mean time, we have a whole new selection of shows to watch this . This season, it appears we have to producers of charts gunning for your viewership. Chartfag and The Cart Driver. (Click the links to see the original postings)

My picks for this season are:

  • Arakawa Under the Bridge 2
  • Star Driver (What can I say, I’m a Bones fan)
  • My Little Sister can’t be this Cute
  • Ironman (previews looked pretty good)
  • Bakuman
  • A Certain Magical Index 2 (floored me when I learned of this)
  • Hakuouki 2 (got hooked on the 1st season)

These are just my first at a glance choices. There are some OVAs and Specials coming too that I hope to catch. I’m still trying to watch some Spring and Summer titles too.

It never ceases to amaze me just how many versions of the two most known characters from the Evangelion franchise there are. Here is a prime example. In this nice piece done by Kotobukiya, Asuka is a practicing ballerina. It is a great compliment to their other figure of Rei as a ballerina. Since there are two complimenting figurines, it may be difficult to resist getting both as a set.
