Just thought I’d share a few of the items I picked up at Naka-Kon. I was pleased to find Miku, she is my first Miku figure. The 2 figures ranged in price from vendor to vendor. I was able to talk one down to below the rest towards the end of the vendor hall time. Closing day is a great time to look for deals and talk prices. Would you want to haul all of those items back with you? (more…)

seems to be sneaking up on us pretty quickly and with that the new season.  There are a number of sources that you could look through to find what is coming out this year and when and sure each vary a little. I thought I would bring you some sources that have taken the time to produce charts outlining the upcoming .

  • The Cart Driver. I’ve only recently become aware of the charts available their but I find them to be informative. Well worth the look see.
  • Neregate. Just found out about this site tonight. They too have produced a nice looking chart for the Spring 2011 anime season. (Site may contain some NSFW items)
  • Moetron: This site provides you with a collection of goodies. They have a chart (nicely done), a table of shows listing and times along with stations, previews where available and links to the official sites.

I found these sites informative for the upcoming and past anime seasons and think you may as well. Are there other sites that you like? I am interested in compiling and adding to this .

Here’s a peek at the charts. For the full size charts, go to the respective sites (linked above). All credit for the work put into these charts go to the chart creators / authors.

Chartfag: One of early providers of informative lists regarding anime seasons has decided to retire from producing charts. I want to thank you for doing a great job!

, known for a number of great series has gathered up a number of well known names to work on their latest project, A Letter to Momo.

Letter to Momo

Letter to Momo

This movie is about a girl, Momo, who after growing up in a big city has to move to a remote island following the premature death of her father. There, she and her mom live together in the old family house. Compared to the city, time appears to have stood still. Momo is none to thrilled about her new surroundings. But most of all, she is uneasy about an unfinished letter from her father. The letter contained two words: “Dear Momo…” What was her father going to say.

Some of the staff include:
Director / Screenplay / Storyboard: Hiroyuki Okiura (Jin-Roh)
Key Animation Supervisor: Masashi Ando (Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away)
Key Animators: Toshiyuki Inoue (Tokyo Godfathers), Ei Inoue (The Cat Returns), Takeshi Honda (: 2.22 You Can (Not) Advance), Tetsuya Nishio (The Sky Crawlers), Hiroyuki Aoyama (Summer Wars)
Background Art: Hiroshi Ono (Kiki’s Delivery Service)
Animation: Production I.G (Ghost in the Shell, Jin-Roh)

With names like these, I am looking forward to seeing this movie. I think the wait will be worth while. It is due to be in theaters in Japan in 2012.
