The other night I pulled out my Mobip branded K-On! figures. I decided it was time to take some school pictures. Here are a few of the shots. (more…)

Ok, here’s a link for all you fan-boys and girls to the K-ON! movie due out this December. Myself, I can’t wait to see what hyjinx the girls get up to…

Book Type Loots
With Borders recently filing for Chapter 11 protection, they are closing a number of stores around the country. One store just happens to be literally across the street from my grocery store. That is probably a bad thing considering today. (I think I went overboard) (more…)
Naka-Kon 2011 Loots
Just thought I’d share a few of the items I picked up at Naka-Kon. I was pleased to find Miku, she is my first Miku figure. The 2 Evangelion figures ranged in price from vendor to vendor. I was able to talk one down to below the rest towards the end of the vendor hall time. Closing day is a great time to look for deals and talk prices. Would you want to haul all of those items back with you? (more…)
K-On! News
Some really exciting news is out if you are a K-On fan. First, there are a couple of new collectibles up for reservation now. A cute set of the girls in the costumes they wore to recruit new members. The are by Wave, makers of the swimsuit diva series, and the entire set retails for around ¥6,090.

K-On! Gang in Costume
Another figure recently released for reservation is Alters version of Ritsu completely with drum set. This is an awesome looking figure and as you would suspect, just a touch pricey at around ¥10,290 or so retail. It’s a chunk of change to put toasted a figure but considering how detailed this figure is and what it might cost after reservations are closed.

K-On! Ritsu by Alter
As I was putting this post together, I came across another figure worth mentioning. Ui, Yui’s sister has been rendered in Nendo form and is also up for reservation… She can be found at Hobby Search and retails for around ¥3,500.
I have added Ritsu and Ui to my list and since both of these figures are due in February, I think I can set some aside for their purchase.
Lastly, a K-On film has been announced at the end of episode 25 as being green lighted. I’m excited and looking forward to the movie. I wonder what they will cover. College life perhaps? Pieces of high school life we were not shown?
At any rate, I thought it awesome to come across these items.
K-On Nendoroid Collection
I was pleased the other day when the girls of K-On stopped by on their way to their next gig. Got lucky enough to get a picture while they were here…
I haven’t posted any of my collection in a while so I figured it was about time. The scenery is the Nedoroid Playsets A & B. Perhaps I should put their instruments out and get a rendition of “Fuwa Fuwa Time”.
Awesome Akiyama Mio Figure by Daiki Kougyo – Reservable
Daiki Koukyo is not a company that I am familiar with however, looking at the photos of their work on this figure, I am impressed. There are many versions of Akiyama Mio available lately but this one has to be one of my favorites this far. Note the details in both the Bass Guitar and the Amplifier. This is a 1/6 scale figure which allows for greater detail. (about 10 inches in height) Her face is a little different than other versions but to me seems more true to the show. At roughly ¥13,800, this is not one of the cheaper figures available today. Have a look for yourself…

K-On's Akiyama Mio by Daiki Kougyo
Mio can be reserved at Hobby Search today. Retail is around ¥13,800.
For me, this is one of this instances where I feel if I don’t act now, I’ll miss out. This figure stands at around 10 inches tall and would make a cool center piece in my Mio shrine, er, uh, K-On collection.
Other vendors to check would include: AmiAmi and Hobby Link Japan
Kotobuki Tsumugi – Alter version – up for reservation
Woo Hoo!!! Alter has finally released a version of Mugi… (I know, sad, aren’t I)…. Any ways, Mugi is now available for reservation. Expected release is in October.

Kotobuki Tsumugi Alter version
Mugi can be reserved to come to your home at Hobby Search now. Retail price is around ¥6,800.
And yes, I’m reserving mine as well…
March 2010 Loot
March is one of those months I dreaded because I just knew I was gonna be hit with multiple deliveries. Well.. it did not disappoint and I am pleased to say that I am not disappointed in the loot either (aside from the melted credit card). This month saw the arrival of Saber Lily by Alter, Tainaka Ritsu Nendoroid by Good Smile, Blu-Ray version of Evangelion 1.11, Blu-Ray version of Eureka Seven: good night sleep tight young lovers, and the sound track for the Eureka Seven movie. Both Blu-Ray movies were great. Got to crank the volume on both and enjoy the full sound fx.

Mio Figure Preview – Max Factory

Mio Figure, originally uploaded by Danny Choo.
It seems rare these days that I get a chance to do some blogging and reading of blogs and in this case it might be a good thing. Why, you tell me… Isn’t she just to cute? Dang it Danny, you had to go and post more poison.
My UpLark version is due to arrive tomorrow and now I get hit with this one…. My only question, do I really need to eat? No release date yet. Keeping my fingers crossed it is a distant date so my credit card can cool down a bit..
