I may have to pass on this version. Keeping my fingers crossed to see what Alter or Good Smile might do. To me there is something about this figure where it does not quite look the same as the character in the series… What do you think?

UpLark Festival Costume Akiyama Mio closer to release!
Back in September I posted an entry where UpLark was working on their version of Akiyama Mio. Looking at those images then, the potential looked very promising. Well, just recently UpLark has updated their blog announcing pricing and release dates for this figurine! With that post they shared some exciting photos. I’m liking the detail guys! Nice work… Here are a few of those shots…
According to the UpLark Blog, pricing is to be around 8,190 Yen. Release date somewhere around February – March 2010.
I’ve not located vendors taking reservations for this one yet but I’ll update this page when I do…

Got a couple of new figures this month… Super pleased with Drossel, she is one cute robot. Yui comes ready to play whether at practice or the final concert of the series. I’ll post some pictures some time when I can.

I think this is a cute version. I like how her face has a soft expression. One can almost be jealous of Sphinx as he gets hugged.

Rider appears to standing ready to do her masters bidding. The chain detail is nice. I think I prefer a more dramatic pose for her character though.
