FLCL Fan? Manga Slated for 2012

According to a tweet released by (@DarkHorseComics) a omnibus is to be released in 2012. Me, I enjoyed how the went in seemingly many directions at once. I’m curious to see how the handle that style story telling in the form.

With Borders recently filing for Chapter 11 protection, they are closing a number of stores around the country. One store just happens to be literally across the street from my grocery store. That is probably a bad thing considering today. (I think I went overboard) (more…)

Ghost in the Shell: SAC to Spawn 2 New in Japan…

According to ANN, Kodansha has confirmed that it will launch two new manga based on the : Stand Alone Complex television series in December.

The first of the upcoming manga, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex – Tachikoma na Hibi, will launch in the January issue of Kodansha’s Monthly Young Magazine on December 9. Masayuki Yamamoto is drawing this all-new manga based on Production I.G’s 2002 video anime series of the same name. This spinoff series of bonus anime shorts recounted the tongue-in-cheek stories of the Tachikoma AI tanks from the main Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex anime.

The second manga, simply titled Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, will launch in the 2009.02 issue of Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine on December 14. Yu Kinutani, the creator of the Amon and Shion manga and the artist of the Steamboy, Leviathan, and Pairon manga, will draw this manga version.

I’ve not read the Manga. I started with the anime itself. I like the style of the anime so I doubt I’ll be getting into the Manga series. I’m also looking forward to the Live Action version of Ghost In The Shell.
