It’s hard to believe that Fall is starting up and the new shows are starting this weekend. What happened to the Summer? I don’t feel relaxed for some reason. Weren’t Summers supposed to be relaxing vacation times? Oh well, better luck next year.

In the mean time, we have a whole new selection of shows to watch this . This season, it appears we have to producers of charts gunning for your viewership. Chartfag and The Cart Driver. (Click the links to see the original postings)

My picks for this season are:

  • Arakawa Under the Bridge 2
  • Star Driver (What can I say, I’m a Bones fan)
  • My Little Sister can’t be this Cute
  • Ironman (previews looked pretty good)
  • Bakuman
  • A Certain Magical Index 2 (floored me when I learned of this)
  • Hakuouki 2 (got hooked on the 1st season)

These are just my first at a glance choices. There are some OVAs and Specials coming too that I hope to catch. I’m still trying to watch some Spring and Summer titles too.

Initial Opinion – Being a Saber fan, I’d have to say this is an easy “Get”. The detail on her armor seems quite impressive. I also like her expression and the fact 2 blades are included. Good Smile Company (GSC) has been putting out some really nice figures lately.

More detailed images can be found here. On the link you can see the figure as it progresses. Don’t know the release date yet but from what is shown in the pictures, it looks pretty darn good!

We pause now as a ogle over this next figure… Another version of Saber from the series Fate / Stay Night. Ok, I admit it, I’m a Saber fan. This may look familiar to a previous version because it is. Some of her armaments has been removed and facial detail changed. I like the detail on the scabbard and the base. Retail 9,000 ¥.

Scale Saber Lily ~Golden Caliburn~

And lastly for now, MORE poison.  This time in the form of both Mio and Ritsu in Nendoroid form performing for you on an included di:stage. Retail at 8,000 ¥.

Each of these figures are due to be release in February of this year. Talk about short notice… I will probably have to pass on these as I am still expecting figures I ordered last year. If I can, I would have to choose Ui and Miku out of this batch. I don’t have any Miku figurines in my collection but this Snow version is just to cute.

Kimi ni Todoke – From Me to You – Anime

A number of new series coming out this Fall have caught my attention. One of these is an adaptation from Manga called Kimi ni Todoke (From Me to You).

While looking for a trailer I could share, I came across this well done fan created video based on the Manga.

I was not able to locate a sub’d version of the trailer, yet. When I do, I’ll update this post. Until then… here’s the trailer, in Japanese.
Removed from You Tube for copyright claim

From ANN:

Kimi ni Todoke is about a girl named Kuronuma Sawako. She is nicknamed Sadako (from the ring) because many people see her as strange and often mistake her for a ghost. A boy called Kazehaya kun becomes her friend and, to her, is “100% refreshness.”
Kuronuma Sawako’s one wish in life is to make friends. That’s a difficult proposition when everyone who meets her cowers in terror. She admires her classmate, Kazehaya-kun, a popular, easygoing and 100% refreshing guy who is nice with everyone, even with her.

More of what is coming out this fall can be found on zotaku.com. The fine bunch of bloggers there went out of their way to put together a pretty good list. Now if I could only get caught up with my viewing list…
